Created in response to the growth of Navegação São Miguel, Skymar was organized back in 1983 to provide fuel transport and supply services to vessels anchored at the ports of Vitória, Praia Mole and Tubarão, all located in the state of Espírito Santo. In 1999, the company expanded operations to include two other ports in the state: Ubú and Portocel. Skymar has become a model port services support organization operating on the Brazilian coast.
The Skymar operational base is located on the margins of the port access channel at Vitória. Installations include a space for the activities performed by an affiliate Group company, Hidroclean, to assure fast and efficient responses to environmental emergency situations anywhere in the region, as well as to guarantee a high level of quality services to local clients.
The company has been certified by Bureau Veritas under the ISM Code (International Safety Management Code) and by ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 norms and standards and by the Vanzolini Foundation.
